Time to reconsider ..

Due to a tummy bug this past week it's given me time to reconsider my time on the net. Despite being my most successful blog/website my Nudes Letter is coming to an end.

I've just cleared out the past editions website @ Tripod which confirmed my writings since July 2000 but I'm a bit fed up not with naturism & nudism but my time wasted on different websites.

An edition with the usual catch-up of mainly short items about the naked body that have appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

A Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "a naked man [who] scaled an 8ft beach-side fence at New York's John F Kennedy Airport - sparking a security scare. He faces a trespass charge." Surprised not asked if anything to declare ? ( 14/07 ).
A three paragraph item headed Night on the flash claims "a rambler was thrown out of a pub [ called The Catts Inn in Rotherfield, East Sussex ] when he walked in wearing nothing but hiking boots and a rucksack." According to a regular: "He walked in bold as brass with not a stitch on saying he wanted a pint of lager. He was sent on his way pretty sharpish.". It is stated that "the man, in his 30s, has previously been spotted hiking nude in local woods." Another naked rambler ? ( 16/07 ).
A paragraph titled CAREER TAKING OFF reports of "Mark and Sam Taylor [who] are opening their second foreign nudist resort after quitting their jobs and home in Ringwood, Hants." Good for them ! ( 18/07 ).
Another paragraph titled CAN'T BARE IT.. claims "British women are the least likely to strip down to their swimwear on holidays, a European poll for retailer Isme found." Brits not revealing enough eh ? ( 12/08 ).
A Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "a 'BREAST beach' guide - boasting that Romania's resorts are the finest in Europe for topless sunbathers - has been launched by the country's tourism chiefs." Most revealing if true ( 19/08 ).
Another paragraph titled NUDE AWAKENING claims "two thirds of Brits sleep naked - almost twice as many as a generation ago - a study of 3,000 people found." Yes I'm one of them until colder nights ( 09/09 ).
Same day paragraph headed GOOD NUDES tells of "a mystery donor [who] gave a rare signed Helmut Newton book of nude photos worth £9,000 to an Oxfam shop in St Albans, Herts." A worthy reveal ( 09/09 ).

Naked Nudes ?

An edition with the usual catch-up items about the naked body that have appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

A column item headed Nudist at court for 'baring all in garden' under a photo of "Donald Sprigg, 62, who admits regularly stripping off to tend his garden, is facing three charges of outraging public indecency." Nice to have "horrified neighbours [who] complained about him digging his garden while NAKED... [and causing] 'harassment, alarm or distress' to [them] close to his home in Cirencester, Gloucs." Mr "Sprigg pleaded not guilty to all three charges and was bailed to stand trial on June 20." What a time-waster, more important crime out there than someone who just strips in his garden ! ( 09/05 ).

Another column item with heading of TV Nicky ran nude after thief tells of "tv and radio presenter Nicky Campbell told how he chased a thief from his garden yesterday - while totally NAKED. Nicky 50, leapt from bed after being woken at about 5.25am by his dog Maxwell's barking." After spotting "the prowler tring to nick his bike .. he gave chase with 'everything flying in the wind' - "... If I'd jumped on him stark naked he'd have needed counselling for years.". The thief fled empty-handed", luckily not catching anything "in the wind" ( 14/05 ).
A small bottom page item titled HOTEL FOR NUDES claims "hotel boss Tim Higgs runs a place where guests love to hang out - it's for nudists only." Shock ! Horror ! It seems "dedicated naturist, 55, has turned a surburban detached family home into a seven-room retreat for people who like to shed their clothes on holiday." That's terrible, really terrible but "Tim, who already owns a hotel [and] was granted permission to open up in Erdington, Birmingham, by the city council, charges from £120 a night." Tim ends "Naturists are crying out for a place like this." 'Location, Location' comes to mind but good luck ! ( 16/05 ).
A Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "Streaker Lu Wi, 42, [who] begged passers-by to help cover him up after a holy man said running naked would cure his nightmares in Changchun, China." If it works for him, will it work for you ? ( 31/05 ).
An item titled 1 in 5 UK girls strip off on hol claiming "one in five British women goes topless abroad to get an all-over tan, a [Superdrug] poll reveals" The most interesting facts is "women in the 35-44 age group are most likely to bare their boobs." No care eh, wonder if any of the 4 in 5 are naturists who get a real 'all-over tan' ? ( 06/06 ).
Seen the ITN video below, here's the photo item titled BACKSIDE THE SEASIDE "as seaside bathers in wet and windy Wales yesterday flock to set a world SKINNY-DIPPING record.

Four hundred stripped off and plunged shreiking into the freezing waves. They had to remain waist-deep for ten teeth-chattering minutes to break the previous Guinness Book record of 250." A couple of quotes of "exhilarating" & "first time in Wales - and the last" but no mention of the benefiting charity ( 20/06 ).
A paragraph headed BUFF JUSTICE tells of "a naked man strolled down the middle of a main road yesterday morning before being collared by cops in Leicester." Without a shirt ? ( 21/06 ).

A catch-up edition with a few items about the naked body that have appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

No sooner than poor Hollywood film actress Elizabeth Taylor was laid to rest than this photo titled LIZ LAID BARE of "young Liz Taylor [who] poses nude in an intimate portrait thought to be the only such picture of the star. Liz was 24 when she was snapped by her close friend, Planet of the Apes actor Roddy McDowall." The photo which "was revealed publicly for the first time yesterday." didn't get the full Page 3 treatment by the paper instead appeared as a small page 33 item opposite a full tribute page to trucker Eddie Stobart who also died. How times have changed ( 02/04 ).
A photo, titled IT'S A CASE OF HISS AND MISS, of naked "slinky model Amii Grove serpently knows how to get attention. The Page 3 beauty .. had her body painted like a snake for a campaign by animal welfare charity PETA." Not sure if it's the paint that gets my attention ( 09/04 ).
In the City section a four paragraph item titled A naked struggle reports that "Britain's biggest nudist holiday operator is at the centre of a £40million take-over struggle" It ends that the firm "Travelzest owns Peng Travel which offer the chance of 'being at one with nature' in locations including Crete." Expecting the company's figures to be revealing when audited ( 20/04 ).
A Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "a health club [which] has opened a gym in which members can work out in the NUDE. They are given towels to sit on at the venue in Vizcaya, Spain." Facing up to new trade ? ( 20/04 ).
In the build-up to the Royal Wedding there were some strange stories, none other that bride-to-be Kate Middleton was having dreams that she might turn up naked at the aisle. The paper brought in their Health and Science Editor who told us that "dreams of being naked in public show extreme vulnerability and can denote feelings of being unprepared for a life-changing event."
Mmmm preferred the paper's cartoonist who has naked Kate watched by hubby-to-be William admiring her charms as the Archbishop says "Quick...Hymn No.318 - 'Lift up thine eyes' ". So all went well on the Big Day ( 27/04 ).
Another Sun SPOT paragraph claims "topless sunbathers face a 500 euros (£443) fine after a mayor pal of PM Silvio Berlusconi brought in a bylaw in Pavia, northern Italy." Is the real sun worth it ? ( 28/04 ).
A photo item of "a man [who] flees naked from a brothel moments after a police raid." The item titled Punter is rat up a drainpipe claims "the frantic punter left his clothes behind as he sprinted across a rooftop .. in Jilin province, eastern China .. followed by a prostitute in just a towel." Guys always keep your pants at arm's length ! ( 30/04 ).

A bit quiet at the moment with just a few items about the naked body that have appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

This photo item titled FLESHION MODELS appeared back in February with "these [four] ladies [who] have gone undie cover - to launch a range of underwear said to match the skin tone of its wearers." The high street store chain "took the skin tones of more than 1,000 customers and staff before launching its Nearly Naked range." Really ? Best bet lose the underwear "to create a disappearing act under clothes." Very unconvincing ladies on a chilly day despite the item ending "Sounds like good nudes to us" ( 04/02 ).
A Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "NAKED Ivana Scopovich, 22, [who] staggered into a lecture hall with a bottle of vodka demanding to be reunited with her student ex in Novi Sad, Serbia." It's amazing what being nude helps get your point across but she's welcome to Serbia unless the tourist business has picked up ( 15/02 ).
Another Sun SPOT paragraph claims "trainee therapist Sarah White, 24, STRIPS NAKED for patients in £100-an-hour counselling sessions carried out via web cameras in New York." Is she a shrink with nothing to hide ? ( 05/03 ).

The paper devotes over half a page to photos taken during the annual street carnival of "a topless Rio beauty [who] steals the show on a horse - looking like Lady Godiva." The item headed RIO BEAUTY RIDES AS NAKED LADY - OMGodiva! claim she & others seen "paraded past Brazilian city's Sambadrome .. [watched by] an estimated 800,000 tourists [for] the five-day event, due to climax this morning." My question is if this blonde lady is happy to display her chest to near million people why is she so shy on the beach when sun-bathing - notice her white lines ? ( 08/03 ).
A paragraph titled NUDES HEADLINES claims "naked pictures of Czech TV news girl Martine Gavriely, 32, emerged - and ratings went up." Wonder who leaked them and was her figure more uplifting than the viewing figures ? ( 11/03 ).

Just a few items about the naked body that have appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

A Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "a nude reveller Angelika Byko, 41, [who] was found hiding from cops in a rubbish chute after BOOBS protruded form the hatch in Volgograd, Russia." Not a complete cover-up but probably a smelly one ! ( 22/01 ).

A promise is a promise, so when tv chef Gino D'Acampo urged viewers to vote for the show that he has a cooking segment on and if they won he would become a naked chef for the day. Yes ITV1's This Morning won the NTA "topical magazine" award, so Gina is seen wearing a kitchen apron in this photo that appeared on their tv page with co-hosts Phillip Schofield & Holly Willoughby who "lost my appetite". Alas didn't see his appearance but after winning in the jungle for I'm A Celeb .., I bet this was a piece of cake ! ( 28/01 ).

A December to reflect

Some items about the naked body that have appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

With plenty of net coverage back in September, this charity event raised "£22,000 for breast cancer research" and "a total of 102 stripped off .. so many the rollercoaster had to run three times to take them all around The Adventure Island park in Southend, Essex [which] was shut during the crocodile-themed Green Scream ride." Under heading of The big stripper the "thrill-seeks are claiming a world record after packing on to a big dipper NAKED", previous "best of 32 was set in 2004 on the Nemesis ride at Alton Towers. Well done to all ! ( 09/09 ).

Wednesday Columnist Jane Moore reflects under heading of LONDON FLASHIN' WEEK "having been at this column lark for nigh on two decades now, I have commented many times on the ever-diminishing outfits being paraded down catwalks, once asking: "Whatever next ? Two bottle tops and a Dairylea triangle ?." As a model stepped out at London Fashion Week wearing nothing but a hat, bag & boots, it seems my prediction was far too conservative."
The event or model wouldn't have been out of place at the local naturist club ( 22/09 ).
Another paragraph titled YOU'RE KNICKERED tells of "hookers who parade naked from the waist down are being made to cover up in Genoa, Italy." Half satisfied customers ? ( 02/11 ).
Thursday columnist Kelvin MacKenzie tells of doing some self-body assessment when ..
"I was standing nude looking at myself in the bedroom mirror and turned to my wife and said: "I look old, fat and ugly. I need a compliment." She replied: "Your eyesight's damn near perfect""
Trust the wife for an honest opinion ( 04/11 ).
A Sun SPOT paragraph claims "a group of young women activists have become a big hit with their TOPLESS protests over issues like domestic violence and corruption in Kiev, Ukraine." A case of body distraction ( 20/11 ).

Must admit of not being a great fan of body-painting, what's the point of getting nude only to be painted to cover everything up ? The paper gives a half page item titled Boobism - MUSEUM WORKER PAINTS USING HER 40E BREASTS to a Russian lady called "Victoria, 26, [who] smears her 40E chest with watercolors or oil-based paint then daubs her work on to canvas or paper."
Examples of her work are seen and she explains "I'm well endowed and suddenly had the urge to paint using my breasts." Of course you did for Art's Sake perhaps ? ( 23/11 ).
A paragraph headed BUCKS NAKED claims "one in four workers would attend an office party naked for a million pounds, a poll found." Just a million ? ( 11/12 ).

Two items on same day ...
1. A small bottom page 3 item titled Kel sea sex is top scene and reveals actress "Kelly Brook's naked underwater frolic in Piranha 3D has been voted Top Nude Scene 2010 .. chosen by website MrSkin." The founder describes "the graphic scene saw Kelly, 31, cavorting with porn actress Riley Steele, 23, in the gory horror flick, "The quality of the nude scene was spectacular and stood out far above the rest." Crikey what an expert !
2. On the center pages of its tv section, a small item with heading of Mad Jan bares all has a b&w photo of Mad Men actress January Jones posing "in the buff for Versace after becoming its new face. The blonde, 32, - Bette Draper in the US hit - had only a bag to cover her modesty." Nude - what a cover-up ! I'm happy to do the male version with a sack of spuds ( potatoes ) if interested ( 16/12).

Hoping to add a few more items before the year end !

BRIEF NUDES

One of my regional clubs was featured in the press with coverage in The Times & Independent, here a four paragraph item titled Flats fury of nudists tell of "nudist club members are fuming at plans of five-storey blocks of flats overlooking their grounds. .. members of The White House Club in Whyteleafe, Surrey, are angry that the local council has approved a 167-flat tower block 300 yards away." A member is end quoted "I'm not ashamed of my body, but I don't want any Tom, Dick or Harry staring at me." Well said ! ( 11/09 ).
Despite lots of net coverage for the obvious comic reasons only one paragraph titled NAKED STUNNER claims "cops shot Zak King, 18, with a taser gun as he jogged NUDE in Palm Bay, Florida, US." Taser to stun ..ouch ! ( 15/10 ).
Following loads of net coverage just a paragraph again titled NO-CLOTHES SHOW reports that "tv chiefs want people to strip for a month at a nudist camp for a reality show in Florida, US." Hoping it's more successful than The Naked Jungle ! ( 20/10 ).
Another paragraph titled VOTERS SWING tells of "rebel politicians in Spain's Catalan region want volunteers for an election TV ad - featuring dozens of NAKED voters." Wonder what party ? The Naked Front ? ( 23/10 ).

Q. Seen anything in the papers & mags ?

Here are some missed late June, July & this month items about the naked body that appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun, a sort of catch-up ...

A photo item titled FLASH GORDON shows "tv chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife taking a stroll in [St. Tropez,] France - and are served up meat and two veg. The holidaying F-Word star, 43, and Tana, 36, went for a light dressing - their swimwear - unlike the unappetising nudist .. yesterday." A bit unfair but I'm sure that Gordon had a wry smile thinking up ways to cook it or commenting "F**k me ! That guy hasn't been to Scotland !" ( 30/06 ).
Troubles for "members of Britain's oldest nudist club were exposed - by road widening works. The Five Acres Country Club has been hidden behind a line of trees and bushes since it opened in the 1920s." The item titled NUDES LOSE THEIR BUSH goes on to reveal the club's location as "the area was stripped by bulldozers as part of an expansion on the M25 at junction 21a." (You've got the last part ?) Meanwhile "it left passers-by and road workers able to ogle nudists at the club neat St Albans, Herts ( Location confirmed ). Club owner Pat Badham is quoted "People who come here enjoy being naked and enjoy the naturist way of life." It ends that "the Highways Agency has agreed to install a 'modesty' fence and line of trees to hide the club." Also the "workers have been told not to look at the nudists", yeah that one may be difficult to obey ( 03/07 ).
A six paragraph item titled Nude on the Tube claims "a woman stripped naked at a rush-hour Tube station yesterday - then lept on a train. The attractive blonde, in her 20s, had been wearing just a bra and briefs under a cream raincoat. She threw them off at Elephant & Castle, in South East London, then ran down the platform shoving aside commuters. [Sadly] station staff escorted her off the packed train" Their source is very accurate with the event and smiley commuters were "amused or concerned". The stripper "was held under the Mental Health Act". A warning to all future sporting streakers where you may end up ! ( 10/07 )
On the paper's tv biz page a photo item showing a former soap star in two naked poses titled IT'S RICKITT PICS WITH NO KNICKS. Former Coronation Street actor Adam Rickitt who played Nick Tilsley "stripped off to front testicular cancer awareness campaign Checkum." Understand the poster pose not sure about the laying down one ? ( 15/07 ).
After winning a search for a new evening presenter for a topical BBC show and a big £100,000 a-year salary you don't want old pics from your past turning up do you ? On the paper's tv biz page a large full length b&w photo of Alex Jones appears near to a heading of The nude One Show presenter. Alex did it of course for a charity shoot in 2005 for Autism Wales and raised thousands and she explains her one-off strip "I'm not the sort who gets naked for photos. But it was for a good cause, so I'm glad I did it." So no future visits to a nudist beach planned ? ( 29/07 ).
A Sun SPOT paragraph claims "Baring pale, untanned skin on the beach is the top holiday hate fro 36 per cent of British men and 29 per cent of women, a poll has found". These beach goers are never satisfied are they ! ( 29/07 ).
Another Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "cops [who] held a man for assault after he started a NAKED fist fight with two hookers in Kempten, Germany - claiming they had stolen 50 euros from him". Look on the bright side they didn't steal your heart, aah ! ( 02/08 ).
A small item titled ART NUDEVEAU tells of "artist Kira Ayn Varszegis [who] is putting her 38DD boobs to good use - as paint brushes. Kira, 34,[ from Connecticut, US ] smothers them in anything from oils to melted chocolate, then sets to work on the canvas." I was taking her serious up to the oils but "the resulting abstract pictures can sell for more than £600." She wants this fine art "to provoke emotion .. and raises more than a few smiles." I'm sure that her buyers think likewise ( 03/08 ).
A photo item titled FISH 'N STRIPS FOR STAG LADS shows "cheeky lads on a stag party fishing trip [who] get their tackle out - and are caught by an RAF chopper. The ten youngsters, from Bristol [ no ladies ? ], hired a boat and stripped far out at sea. But the prank off Swansea was snapped by the passing rescue copter's crew." If that was not bad enough the coastguard spokesman said "They had a few little tiddlers." Next time lads stick to a nudist beach and get by unnoticed ( 03/08 ).
When looking for news links I can't believe the numbers of links to British model/actress(?) Kelly Brook especially after her recent big figure strip for Playboy. Now she's got her kit off for a sports company to advertise their running shoes. Of course there's has to be a road-side billboard and the paper picks up for their website with heading of Celebrity NUDES like Eva Mendes and Sophie Dahl who advertise products with their naked body. Fine chance seeing any on a naturist beach or at a nudist club ! ( 05/08 ).

Continue to enjoy the cooler sun in the UK ( still mainly nude indoors and ... ), hey hope you are naked wherever you may be !

Q. Seen anything in the papers & mags ?

Here are some missed April & May items about the naked body that appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun, a sort of catch-up ...

The small clip is not taken from a lads magazine but the centre pages of this family tabloid which gives a page & a third to the cabin crew of "Spanish airline Air Comet which went bust in December". The unseen header is CABIN CREW TAKE INDUSTRIAL ACTION... SPANISH STYLE followed by a small header statement of "Brothers and sisters... the unreasonable behaviour of a draconian management leaves us with no choice but to withdraw our labour... and our clothes". The paper didn't miss a month of "the calendar which raises cash [for the airline and at the time of item] workers are still owed up to eight months' salary .. more than 1,000 calendars featuring the ladies in their flight caps, gloves and high heels have gone on sale for £13 each." The paper puts out a plea to the striking British equivalent with tiny bottom photo and side header of (ARE YOU WATCHING UNITE?).. mmm ( 01/04 ).
A paragraph item titled NIPS IN THE BUDS tells of "saucy Catharine Pierce, 52, [who] has won the right to garden TOPLESS after her landlord tried to evict her in Colorado, US." A brighter outlook for her neighbours ? ( 17/04 ).
A Sun SPOT paragraph claims "one in five library workers has had sex behind the book-shelves - and half say they would pose NUDE for a porn magazine, a US poll of 5,000 staff found". Amazed by the poll size, where is a library worker when you need one ? Perhaps naked behind the book-shelves ! ( 17/04 ).
A photo item titled THE DAY STRIPPERS shows "nudists enjoy[ing] a picnic after taking over an island and BANNING clothes. Members of British Naturism [yes I'm a member !] flocked from all over the country to bare all at Flat Holm Island in the Bristol Channel. No other tourists were allowed on the rock over the weekend - unless they agreed to strip off too." The photos come with comic captions for the standing man "Anyone seen my lunchbox ?" and the guy being photographed saying "You'll need the zoom" - yeah I know the feeling. I understand from an informative radio interview that the exercise is to be repeated due to the large response from BN members ( 27/04 ).
Another Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "Eighties singer Toyah Willcox, 51, [who] is among 100 people posing naked on settees for arty Brighton photographer Dean Stockings for his book Sofa So Naked". I wonder if one of the photographer's rules was .. no suspenders ? ( 04/05 ).
The tv page has a small item titled RICHARD 'N RUDEY as early evening chat host "Richard Madeley has a crack at reality TV - and flashes his bum during filming. The 53-year-old was snapped after he went for a swim during ITV1's All At Sea" ( Thurs 21:00 ). When Skinbook first started at Ning.com, I joined but after a short time I noticed that a lot of its members were not naturists more exhibitionists. I pointed this out to them and left. I know later from Cheri Alexander that people were brought in to check & delete profiles. I also had a try setting up another Ning site for naturists called Barebook but that failed and was time wasted.
Recently I have been receiving extra traffic here from their Twitter a/c as they have been using my SNL RSS Feed. So after recent good publicity I tried to rejoin ( twice ) to see any improvements but without any success. When I made a comment on their Facebook page about this, they replied with a long 'public' explanation note to my rejection and being unable to contact me despite having my email address when signing in and being able to message me via Facebook ?
So I will lose traffic here and I have removed my regional links to them too.

Q. Seen anything in the papers & mags ?

Here are some missed March items about the naked body that appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun, a sort of catch-up ...

The paper gives nearly a page to the latest Tunick gathering with heading of Down Underpants as "it's bottoms up Down Under as 5,200 people strip off outside Sydney Opera House yesterday. The dawn display was the latest work by US photographer Spencer Tunick, 43, .. titled The Base, formed part of Sydney's annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Only 2,000 people were expected but more than twice that turned up." Another naked success ! ( 02/03 ).
A paragraph item titled LIFELESS CLASS tells of "a life drawing class was moved to another town after nobody turned up except the nude model in Sittingbourne, Kent" Where's the audience when you need them ! ( 04/03 ).

The tv page shows filming of "the second series of BBC1 comedy Reggie Perrin" in "chilly Sussex". The item titled MARTIN'S BEACH PEACHES shows actor Martin Clunes dancing with 2 bikini girls but what caught my attention was that "Martin, 48, avoided a naked bathing scene in Goring-by-Sea [by] getting a double to take the plunge." A case of look twice before you leap ? ( 18/03 ).

The tv page again has an item titled DON'T DROP THE BOUQUET which tells of "naturists Ivy Pink, 30, and Graham Winston-Peters, 44, [who] stripped for the ceremony along with the registrar ( actually's it's TNF's own parson Trevor ) and guests. Their nuptials will be screened" as part of a tv series called Four Weddings on Living TV.The paper's tv mag has another item about the couple titled We got married in the nude ! revealing a problem for "the loved-up pair - the wedding day was in winter" and bride Ivy ( now 5 years younger at 25 ) is quoted: "It was absolutely freezing !" Let's not get into who choose the date shall we ? Best wishes ! ( 29/03 ).

The free London paper City A.M. has an item titled NAKED AMBITION on The Capitalist page. It's about Sterling's MD John McCormick "who's planning quite of a lifetime in April ... to embark on a running trip from John O'Groats to Lands End". The example nude cyclist photo is there to remind of an incident "when he completed the exact same route on a bicycle and did one of the legs of the trip in the nude after a dare from one of his [charity] sponsors." It's ends "the man's clearly got a penchant for exercising in the buff." If you say so ! ( 10/03 )

Trying to enjoy the sun ( as it's starting to appear in the UK ! ) wherever you maybe especially if lucky to be nude or naked !

Missed this item about the Rio Madri Gras back in February, as you see there was plenty of nudity without any fuss. The item titled BRAZIL BUTTS explains itself ...

It's the lady's bottom tattoo with the bronze tan that interests me ( honestly ) it has a small heart with the word Ale .. I wonder if she's a beer drinker ? ( 17/02 ).
A small item titled IT'S A NEWSFLASH tells of "two students [who] are reading out university bulletins NAKED for a new online TV channel." The presenters names "John Doe, 20 and Jane Doe, 21 are filmed in front of Cambridge landmarks before their reports for CU:TV. Founder Alana Hutton-shaw, 21," is quoted "More students than you'd expect want to get their kit off in front of a camera." Look out Naked News they're coming your way ! ( 06/03 ).
A paragraph titled BIRTHDAY TOOT claims "a naked man who stood outside his ex's home to serenade her by flute must pay £100 compensation in Norwich." Not sure if this is a case of an unsatisfied customer asking for a refund ? ( 08/03 ).
Another cast for the stage play Calendar Girls with ex-Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison [who] strips off at the piano with the cast .. just a month after giving birth" which explains the tv page caption of NUDE MUM JEN IS A CALENDAR GIRL.

As the play leaves the West End of London and heads north to Liverpool's Empire Theatre it nice to see the cast looking more like the actual persons that the play was based on ( 10/03 ).
This top corner photo item for the paper's website titled Stop the presses [PLEASE] tells of an "odd-ball [who] has become the latest web celeb after posting snaps of himself doing press-ups in the nude at famous landmarks."

At least he has the view to concentrate on rather than below the waist. Hope no pretty girls walked by ? Ouch ! ( 12/03 ).

Try to enjoy the sun ( as it slowly starting to appear in the UK ! ) wherever you maybe especially if lucky to be nude or naked !

Remember last month cartoon couple George & Lynne discussing being naked, well NAKED has cropped up again twice in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

Example 1

To another episode of our favourite daily cartoon couple George & Lynne, this time this time Lynne in the Ladies chading room with a friend ...

LYNNE ( Picture 1 ): "A man called at our house the other day and caught me naked."

FRIEND ( Picture 2 ): "A bit embarrassing, but after all you've a great figure ..."

LYNNE ( Picture 3 ): "I mean naked as in with no make-up on !"

FRIEND: "Wow!"

So does our Lynne have a point ? Is naked to ladies no make-up ? ( 17/03 ).

Talking of naked, in the ladies section a cosmetic item titled NAKED AMBITION which reveals that "nude shades are one of this year's biggest beauty trends. .. pick of nude products .. NUDE NAILS .. NUDE LIPS .. NUDE BLUSH .." Hold up what color is NUDE ? ( 17/02 )

FLASH BACK: To another episode of our daily cartoon couple George & Lynne missed last year, this time they are getting ready for another uneventful day ...

LYNNE ( Picture 1 ): "This is my first task every morning !"

LYNNE ( Picture 2 to listening hubby ): "without my make-up ..."

LYNNE ( Picture 3 ): ".. I feel undressed !"
Does our Lynne have a point ? So does a lady naturist/nudist still need make-up to go naked ? ( 05/05/09 ).
It's not often you see a nude lady on the paper's Sun City page which reports that "soap maker PZ Cussons is cleaning up after Carex sales rose .." Was one of the reason because "the group .. uses a naked model to advertise its Imperial Leather soap" ? ( 27/01 ).
A small paragraph titled EYEFUL TOWER claims "nudists fear being peered at when 131 flats are built next to a naturist beach in Portsmouth", Hants. This lost beach battle has been featured on many naturist sites and mags looking for support ( 29/01 ).
Another paragraph titled BOOB SLEIGH tells of "a council wants to ban a women's TOPLESS tobogganing contest in Oberwiesenthal, Germany." Alas no reason why the ban but thoughts of a painful crash experience come to mind, ouch ! ( 04/02 ).

Here are items about the naked body that appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

The paper's travel section opens its main page with Here is the nudes.. with the rear of a nudist taking centre stage in the travel photo montage. So I was expecting somewhere in the WHERE YOU'LL BE GOING IN 2010 a paragraph or two about naturist holidays. All you find in the bottom section WHAT'S IN AND WHAT'S OUT is a paragraph starting; "Getting naked: Follow in the (bare) footsteps of Paris Hilton. Check out the top ten nude beaches at .. ( site address )." That's it ! An in depth look for 2010 ? ( 03/01 ).
As quiet a chance to look back at a couple of items missed this time last year ...
1. Here's a dilemma for you, where do you look if you end up on a topless or nudist beach but you're not participating ? Under photo heading of HE'S RICHARD LEER, this happened to "Hollywood legend Richard Gere [ a fav of my late mum ] .. the silver-haired star , 59, checked the beauties on St Barts [in the Caribbean] while wife [ & former Bond girl ] Carey Lowell, 47, and son Homer, went swimmimg." Hey life could be worse eh Richard ? ( 03/01/09 ).
2. The paper's seems to have stopped their daily cartoons under Sun Fun this one sees a most revealing chef with the waiter saying "Better not let anyone else order the chef's surprise - he's been drinking."
  The lady customer's not impressed, perhaps write a book like those tv chefs ( 20/01/09 ).

Try and enjoy any sun wherever you maybe especially if lucky with the naked look - a distant memory for moi ! Hope your Nude Year has started well and thanks for the extra visitors - it really amazes me !

Here are items about the naked body that appeared in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

A Sun SPOT paragraph tells of "a £30 calendar advertising portaloos and featuring naked models beside waterfalls is being reprinted after selling 75,000 copies in Ratingen, western Germany." The company must be flushed with success ! ( 03/12 ).
A paragraph headed RAW COCAINE tells of a "naked driver Gerhard Lemmer, 22, [who] told cops nicking him [that] he forgot to dress after taking cocaine in Aachen, Germany." Just the bare facts then ! ( 07/12 ).
Under heading of We'll row sea nude, let's wish good luck to the "two women rowers [who] are hoping to be the first to cross the Atlantic NAKED. Mel King, 37, and Annie Januszewski, 40, will set off starkers tomorrow from the Canary Islands. The pair from Bristol say rowing 3,000 miles to Antigua in the buff will help them avoid chafing and beat the women's record of 75 days." Hope they take plenty of sun cream ! ( 10/12 ).
Another episode of our daily cartoon couple George & Lynne, this time they are in the kitchen for Xmas ...

LYNNE ( Picture 1 ): "We'll have our own Christmas pudding this year, George."
GEORGE ( Picture 1 ): "Mm! It smells delicious!"

GEORGE ( Picture 2 ): "Let's both stir and make a wish."

LYNNE ( Picture 3 ): "Mine's that I can eat this and not put on a single ounce!"

A weight watcher our Lynne ? Did your girl-friend/wife cook in the nude this Christmas ? Nah we all dream ! ( 22/12 ).
Despite lots of net coverage, only a paragraph titled HELMET, GENTS? which tells of "two naked men on bicycles were told to wear helmets and go home by cops in Whangamata, New Zealand." Another Operation: Cover-Up by the Police ? ( 24/12 ).

World Naked Bike Ride 2009

Over this weekend bike riders across the world are riding naked to protest against oil dependency.

This is the first of the tv reports I spotted in Toronto, Canada. Notice the cover-up logos.

Meanwhile there was no cover up for the London Bike Ride covered by ITN.

Meanwhile in Chicago it became a night naked ride as someone with a cam catches the bikers riding down (the wrong way ?) a section of the course. Warning: his "All right !" become a little tiresome after 3 minutes !

I'm sure that there'll be some saddle sore bums but a fun day by all.

Sorry lost the lady in my life - my beloved mum over the weekend whom I've cared for over the past 4 years. Her life came to an end in her home. My life won't be the same.

When you read the news from all over the world of nudist/naturist beaches closing or having problems, let's support the campaign groups who try and keep the beaches nude for OUR enjoyment.

British Naturism's campaigner Michael Boura is trying to help/support when needed, the latest Public acceptance of naturism includes ..

Objective

To promote acceptance by the general public of naturism and naturist activity in all suitable places.

To ensure that millions of naturists in the UK can pursue their lifestyle without encountering prejudice and discrimination.

Naturist code

Respect people's space
Do not be an exhibitionist
Avoid confrontation
Always report crime whether as witness or victim

Any advice is helpful.

Finally those "millions of naturists in the UK" should think about joining BN to show their support, hey it won't break the bank and it'll help reflect true naturism interest in the UK.

Baring up for the Beaches

I thought that I would bring to your attention British Naturism's new efforts to claim back the beaches for naturists & nudists due to "a big growth of overt sexual activity in recent years."

So they came up with a Naturist Beach Code, so if you're not a member here are the suggestions that appear in the latest magazine ( BN 172 Summer 2007 ):

Naturist Beach Code

Naturists don't need this code, but not everyone knows how to be a naturist.

Please:

Only the dress code is different

Avoid being a nuisance

Respect people's space

Do not be an exhibitionist

Avoid confronting or approaching textiles

Any sexual activity is just as unwelcome and just as criminal as in any other public place

Naturist are a trusting and trustworthy bunch, but the criminals know that so safeguard your valuables

Always report crime

In England and Wales, naturism in appropriate places is legal, but breaches of the code can be offences and penalties in recent years have included fines. ASBOs, imprisonment and lifetime bans from all naturist beaches. Naturist use of the beach will also be put at risk.

999 - Crime in progress or person in danger

Naturists/nudists in video games ?

I asked a magazine editor whether she had ever heard of naturist or nudists featured in video games. I never got a reply but I mentioned that I picked up a cheap PS2 game from my local supermarket called Big Mutha Truckers 2 ( 2005 ). A sort of Dukes Of Hazzard meets Convoy truck driving game where you meet characters - many ladies based on Dolly Parton figures at trading places & bars. At one stop-over called Clearview you come across a neo, naturist, vegan, spectacled, young nude lady with hair covering chest speaking in a far out hippy voice. Strange but amusing for 16+ certificate.

I'm re-visiting my unfinished GTA:Vice City and one of the radio channels talks about naturist/nudity etc.

So have you come across any other nude experiences in gameland ?

What is a nudist ?

Nearly six years ago I wrote when I started Steve's Nudes Letter, according to my copy of The Oxford Dictionary a 'nudist' is "a person who advocates or practises going unclothed" ( see edition 1 ).

So has anything changed since then ... no not really.

I'm more of a nudist than a naturist because I'm more nude indoors than outside but a nudist can be a parent, a relative or friend. They're not trying to make some political statement just that they feel comfortable without clothes during part of their day. For me sadly it just night-time or the occasion walk around my flat/apartment and as you get older you don't care.

I used to enjoy visits to nudist beaches. When I booked a holiday to celebrate a birthday by going to Jamaica with intention of seeing Fleming's holiday home, due to my 007 interest, called Goldeneye ( now a holiday resort ), the holiday rep said no chance which was a disapointment but on visiting my hotel's beach I discovered it was divided ( not mentioned in the brochure ) with a normal beach near to the hotel and the far half end a nudist beach, yes despite being on my own I ended up on the latter due to visits to British naturist beaches. I was envious of all these Germans with bronze all-over tans.

So next time you're walking down the street, that person coming towards you might be dressed now but once they get home or to their nearest nudist location those clothes will come off.
