I continue to update the new look Nudes Letter ...

Spotted some more items about the naked body in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

Missed from April, another episode of our daily cartoon couple George & Lynne, this time hubby George is on the phone to his friend talking about his wife Lynne's dress taste.

GEORGE ( Picture 1 ): "Lynne always has trouble deciding on her outfits for fancy dress parties."
GEORGE ( Picture 2 ): "But not this year."
PHONE REPLY ( Picture 2 ): "So what's she wearing ?"
GEORGE ( Picture 3 ): "Nothing. She's decided to go as a nudist !"
There you go someone comfortable with her body ( 08/04 ).

Two items caught my eye ..
1. Under heading of CAPT STREAKING, a three paragraph item tells of "an airline in-flight safety video has become a YouTube internet hit - because the cabin crew wear just BODY PAINT. Air New Zealand staff with uniforms daubed on their bare skin point to exits and life jackets - as belts and armrests protect their modesty". Personally I preferred the first one seen in one of my earlier posts but this one seen by "1.2 million online fans" must be popular for some reason.
2. The paper picks up on the Telegraph item with a shorter version titled SUN STRIP revealing (oops!) "Britain's heatwave this week has seen a huge rise in inquiries at NUDIST camps. Thousands of sun worshippers seeking all-over tans have jammed hotlines asking about late bookings." Now the error "The British Naturism Foundation [drop The & Foundation] which has 130 'sun clubs', usually gets 2,000 calls a week. But this week the figure shot to 12,000." never a dull moment at B N, shame the sun hasn't lasted ( 04/07 ).

Welcome to the new look Nudes Letter ...

Spotted a couple of items about the naked body in my daily tabloid paper, The Sun ...

Missed this during the change-over, the paper gives a near full pager to ladies' posteriors called ASS-TRONOMY*, the asterisk is to state at bottom of page "In which the author investigates the posterior's place in modern culture." It appears "Artist Sue Williams, 53, of Swansea, has been given a £20,000 grant [ by the National Lottery ] to create plaster casts of volunteers' bottoms." The paper decided to get their own experts to describe 6 different types: round, flat, upside-down heart, shelf, heart & boyish". Must admit no favourite here at the moment, mmm let me ponder ..( 30/06 ).

A three paragraph item caught my attention titled Tum lads hate look which reveals "half of men fear baring their bellies on the beach, a poll has found." They haven't visited our naturist beaches adding "seven in ten hate how they look in trunks because their bodies are not toned or athletic." again don't bother with the trunks and come to our beaches. Finally "one in three even consider avoiding a beach holiday altogether", poor souls all that sand & sea air ! ( 03/07 ).

World Naked Bike Ride 2009

Over this weekend bike riders across the world are riding naked to protest against oil dependency.

This is the first of the tv reports I spotted in Toronto, Canada. Notice the cover-up logos.

Meanwhile there was no cover up for the London Bike Ride covered by ITN.

Meanwhile in Chicago it became a night naked ride as someone with a cam catches the bikers riding down (the wrong way ?) a section of the course. Warning: his "All right !" become a little tiresome after 3 minutes !

I'm sure that there'll be some saddle sore bums but a fun day by all.

Hey do you want the good or bad news ?

So first the Bad news .. still no luck with my job search - that's more for my home page & I closed my network site Barebook yesterday. As stated before not everybody shared my perception of naturism & nudism. Also my Nudes Letter will be closing in July and coming here in a new format ( don't know what it is yet ? ).

Good news ... thanks for the increase in visitors here - like a video eh ? as posted previously a week back I went to another regional meeting & AGM ( a double whammy ! ) and walked out the new chairman. So if you wonder what my UK region gets up to over the Summer please check out an info site that I've set up.

Body art ..

As a naturist I'm not for or against anyone who goes to the trouble of getting naked only to cover their body in paint for art sake or just plain fun. Personally I like the skin look.

Meanwhile Air New Zealand have brought out a commercial to show this craze ( I bet you watch it several times to catch their staff ) which has been around naturist beaches for years ...

Shame the passengers hadn't been naked and the staff would have accused of being overdressed ?

Another meeting ...

A few months back I attended my 1st regional naturist meeting, today I attended my second at a lovely club called Little Oaks in Sussex followed by an afternoon AGM meeting. Didn't get chance to use their indoor pool or get naked, perhaps next time.

Wanting to get more involved I offered to help out due to a member standing down after 3 years great service ... so the next meeting will be chaired by ... yes ME.

Where do I buy that book Dummies Guide .. How to chair a meeting ?

I've got till October to practice .. "Next item .."

Buckle up it's gonna be a bumpy ride !

I featured this World Record attempt some months ago on my Nudes Letter but someone posted the video on YouTube last year and if you're visiting an amusement park over the weekend I bet you won't be doing this !

No not in US but in West Sussex, UK. I attended a local region KSER naturist meeting yesterday for the first time and met some consientious members trying to encourage naturism in their region. The setting was inside a large, half circle plastic sheet dome ? At one end is tropical plants, chairs & tables, in the middle is a round pool and far end is steam rooms. It's a shame not more attended & get well to Chairman Tony in hospital. Our mid meeting lunch break was a dip in the pool. Thanks to Max for use of his facilities. Attending more events will I hope prove to people reading this blog & my nudesletter that I'm not all talk and no action.

Just to say thanks to the new visitors from blogtopsites, sorry if you are disappointed not to see nude photos. You see nudists/naturists are the same as everyone else with the same interests and problems in life except some of the time they are more comfortable without clothes.

If really interested in naturism join a local organisation in UK like ...

Losing someone is difficult ...

Sorry lost the lady in my life - my beloved mum over the weekend whom I've cared for over the past 4 years. Her life came to an end in her home. My life won't be the same.

Dedicated to ... IRENE HADLOW ( 1922 - 2008 ).

I'm missing, hurting by the minute and the tears won't stop.

Life's not fair, is it ?

Let's back any campaign ...

When you read the news from all over the world of nudist/naturist beaches closing or having problems, let's support the campaign groups who try and keep the beaches nude for OUR enjoyment.

British Naturism's campaigner Michael Boura is trying to help/support when needed, the latest Public acceptance of naturism includes ..

Objective

To promote acceptance by the general public of naturism and naturist activity in all suitable places.

To ensure that millions of naturists in the UK can pursue their lifestyle without encountering prejudice and discrimination.

Naturist code

Respect people's space
Do not be an exhibitionist
Avoid confrontation
Always report crime whether as witness or victim

Any advice is helpful.

Finally those "millions of naturists in the UK" should think about joining BN to show their support, hey it won't break the bank and it'll help reflect true naturism interest in the UK.

Baring up for the Beaches

I thought that I would bring to your attention British Naturism's new efforts to claim back the beaches for naturists & nudists due to "a big growth of overt sexual activity in recent years."

So they came up with a Naturist Beach Code, so if you're not a member here are the suggestions that appear in the latest magazine ( BN 172 Summer 2007 ):

Naturist Beach Code

Naturists don't need this code, but not everyone knows how to be a naturist.

Please:

Only the dress code is different

Avoid being a nuisance

Respect people's space

Do not be an exhibitionist

Avoid confronting or approaching textiles

Any sexual activity is just as unwelcome and just as criminal as in any other public place

Naturist are a trusting and trustworthy bunch, but the criminals know that so safeguard your valuables

Always report crime

In England and Wales, naturism in appropriate places is legal, but breaches of the code can be offences and penalties in recent years have included fines. ASBOs, imprisonment and lifetime bans from all naturist beaches. Naturist use of the beach will also be put at risk.

Who to phone:

999 - Crime in progress or person in danger

Naturists/nudists in video games ?

I asked a magazine editor whether she had ever heard of naturist or nudists featured in video games. I never got a reply but I mentioned that I picked up a cheap PS2 game from my local supermarket called Big Mutha Truckers 2 ( 2005 ). A sort of Dukes Of Hazzard meets Convoy truck driving game where you meet characters - many ladies based on Dolly Parton figures at trading places & bars. At one stop-over called Clearview you come across a neo, naturist, vegan, spectacled, young nude lady with hair covering chest speaking in a far out hippy voice. Strange but amusing for 16+ certificate.

I'm re-visiting my unfinished GTA:Vice City and one of the radio channels talks about naturist/nudity etc.

So have you come across any other nude experiences in gameland ?

What is a nudist ?

Nearly six years ago I wrote when I started Steve's Nudes Letter, according to my copy of The Oxford Dictionary a 'nudist' is "a person who advocates or practises going unclothed" ( see edition 1 ).

So has anything changed since then ... no not really.

I'm more of a nudist than a naturist because I'm more nude indoors than outside but a nudist can be a parent, a relative or friend. They're not trying to make some political statement just that they feel comfortable without clothes during part of their day. For me sadly it just night-time or the occasion walk around my flat/apartment and as you get older you don't care.

I used to enjoy visits to nudist beaches. When I booked a holiday to celebrate a birthday by going to Jamaica with intention of seeing Fleming's holiday home, due to my 007 interest, called Goldeneye ( now a holiday resort ), the holiday rep said no chance which was a disapointment but on visiting my hotel's beach I discovered it was divided ( not mentioned in the brochure ) with a normal beach near to the hotel and the far half end a nudist beach, yes despite being on my own I ended up on the latter due to visits to British naturist beaches. I was envious of all these Germans with bronze all-over tans.

So next time you're walking down the street, that person coming towards you might be dressed now but once they get home or to their nearest nudist location those clothes will come off.
